Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about movies, couches, snacks, and other important matters.

Do I need a ticket?

No ticket required. Simply arrive, locate a comfortable couch, and enjoy the film.
Admission is free. Popcorn, mocktails, and wildly unnecessary donation items are available if you wish to support the continued operation of the projector.

Is this really a movie theater?

Technically yes. Emotionally, it is more like a community living room that happens to have a very large screen.
Instead of rows of seats, you will find couches, comfortable chairs, and people who are happy to be there.

Can teens attend?

Yes. Most events are open to everyone.
This project was partly inspired by the idea that young people should have more places to gather that are safe, welcoming, and not the fast food parking lots.

Can I reserve a seat?

Seating is first come, first served.
Fortunately the seating consists mostly of couches, which are naturally designed for sharing.

Can I bring my own food?

Outside food is discouraged, mostly because our popcorn has a reputation to maintain. Concessions help support the project and keep movie nights running.

What if I just want to hang out?

That is perfectly acceptable.
Movies may be the main event, but the real goal is creating a space where people can gather, relax, and spend time together.

Why is the popcorn overpriced?

Excellent question.
The popcorn itself is identical. However, purchasing the Overpriced Popcorn unlocks the powerful and rare Community Support Buff, which helps keep the lights dim and the movies playing.
