What is Couch Club?
A Community Living Room
Not a building. A feeling. We pop up around Squamish and create comfortable, low-pressure places to spend time together.
Something to Gather Around
Usually it's a movie. Sometimes it might be a game, a collection of shorts, or something completely different. What's on the screen is really just the excuse to get together.
Free to Show Up
No tickets. No cover. Come by yourself, bring some friends, stay for the whole thing, or don't. Showing up is enough.
Ridiculously Priced Popcorn
Our events are free. Putting them on isn't. Buy the reasonably priced popcorn or help fund the next Couch Club with the ridiculous stuff. Same popcorn. Very different price.
We Could All Use Another Living Room
There should be more places where doing nothing together is the whole point.
Squamish is an incredible place to get outside. But sometimes you don't need another activity. You just need somewhere to go, people to be around and a reason to get out of the house. Those places can be surprisingly hard to find here.
We're creating more opportunities to be together in real life. Movies give us something to gather around, but the real point is everything that happens around them: meeting someone new, catching up with a neighbour, kids running around, sharing some popcorn, or just being somewhere that feels good to be.

Couch Club is better when everyone gets a say.
We're building this with the community, not just for it. Tell us what you'd like to watch, what you'd show up for, or what would make Couch Club even better.
You don't need to be a movie buff or have some grand idea. Maybe you know the perfect film for a rainy Sunday, have an idea for something Squamish is missing, or just think we need more couches.
Or, if you'd rather pitch in, come help us set up, sling popcorn and make the next one happen.
Common Questions
Do I need a ticket?
Nope. Just show up, find somewhere comfortable and settle in.
Admission is free. Popcorn, mocktails and wildly unnecessary donation items are available if you'd like to help keep the projector running.
Can teens attend?
Absolutely. Most Couch Club events are open to everyone.
Part of the reason we're doing this is to create more places where young people can hang out that are safe, welcoming and don't require buying something just to be there.
What should I bring?
Whatever makes you comfortable. A blanket, a camp chair and some layers are usually a good start.
We'll take care of the movie. You just need to show up.
